I heard he was a little known ancient law in Tennessee in which the mortgage is paid automatically if the husband dies. Anyone familiar with this law?
No, there is no law so that the surviving spouse is entitled to the mortgage paid automatically. There may be an insurance policy personal mortgage, which, if one spouse dies the mortgage would be paid by the insurance policy. It could also be life insurance, in which the surviving spouse will receive $ $ enough to pay the mortgage.
